Extension Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Resvia AI Chrome extension specifically — what it can see, what it sends to us, and what it stores on your computer. The main privacy policy covers the Resvia AI web service.

1. What the Extension Does

The extension has a single purpose: filling in job application forms with the profile and resume you already gave Resvia AI, so you do not retype them on every application. It fills the form and stops. It never presses Submit — you review what was entered and submit the application yourself.

2. Where It Runs

The extension's content script runs only on the applicant-tracking systems Resvia AI supports: greenhouse.io, lever.co, and ashbyhq.com. It does not run on any other website, and it cannot read pages outside that list. It also communicates with resvia.ai, our own server.

3. What It Sends to Resvia AI

The address of the application page — sent only when you actively start an autofill, so we can tell whether the posting is one already in your Resvia AI job list and hand back the resume tailored to it. The extension does not report the pages you browse.

The job title, company, and posting text — sent when a form contains free-text questions, so we can draft answers grounded in your resume.

The outcome of the fill — whether the form was filled, submitted, or abandoned, so your Resvia AI dashboard reflects the application and you are not charged for one that never went through.

To confirm an application was actually submitted, the extension observes the web address and success code of the form's submission request. It reads no request contents: the answers you typed are never captured by this mechanism.

4. What It Receives and Fills In

When you start an autofill, the extension downloads your own profile from Resvia AI — your name, email, phone number, LinkedIn URL, work authorization, and your resume PDF — and enters it into the form in your browser. This is your data being returned to you. It is held in the page only as long as the form is open and is not copied anywhere else.

5. What It Stores on Your Computer

Only the pairing token that authenticates the extension to your Resvia AI account, and the email address it belongs to. Removing the extension, or clicking Disconnect in its popup, deletes them. Your resume and profile are not cached on disk.

6. Permissions and Why They Exist

storage — holds the pairing token described above.

scripting — injects the small script that detects a completed submission, and only into a page you asked the extension to fill.

activeTab — lets the toolbar button act on the tab you are looking at when you click it.

Site access to resvia.ai — required to fetch your profile and resume from your own account.

7. What the Extension Never Does

It does not collect browsing history, track your activity across the web, load or execute remote code, contain advertising or analytics trackers, sell or transfer your data to third parties for any purpose unrelated to filling your applications, use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending, or submit an application without you.

8. Deleting Your Data

Disconnecting the extension revokes its token immediately. Deleting your Resvia AI account removes the profile and resume the extension draws on. Questions or requests: contact@resvia.ai.
